Higgins Mountain Wind Farm Cumberland County, Nova Scotia This wind turbine, named Big Wind by the students of Wentworth Consolidated Elementary School, is one of 3 units generating a total of 3.6 MW of wind energy, that were installed in 2006 by Confederation Power Inc. (formerly Springhill Riverhurst Wind Power Inc.) as the initial phase of a larger project. The energy generated is sold under a long term power purchase agreement to Nova Scotia Power Inc.
