Projects
Since 2001, the 3G Group
has developed 25 wind and solar projects from
Newfoundland to British Columbia. Eight of these
projects are already in operation or are approved for
construction.
Solar
Industry - Ontario Projects
Micro-FIT Roof Top Turnkey Projects
Ottawa Community Housing Corporation - We
are providing 10 KW MicroFIT rooftop systems on
14 community
housing rooftops in 2011
City of Kingston - We are providing 10KW
MicroFIT rooftop systems on
10 municipal
buildings (fire halls, community resource centers, etc)
for the City of Kingston in 2011.
Ottawa Co-operative Communities - we are
providing
10KW MicroFIT rooftop systems on
3 co-op residences
in the City of Ottawa in 2011.
M'Chigeeng
First Nation -
we are providing 10KW MicroFIT rooftop systems on
3 Band municipal buildings in 2011.
All these projects
will feature the 220 Watt CS6P panel
produced by Canadian Solar Inc in its new plant in
Guelph, Ontario. It is among
the most efficient in the industry.
Commercial Rooftop Project in Ottawa
A 75KW commercial rooftop solar
project is contemplated in Ottawa near to the Ottawa train station and Highway 417. The project
has been accepted by the Ontario Power Authority and
commercial operations are on hold pending
acceptance by Hydro One of the connection application.
There are connection issues governing projects of this
size in Ottawa associated with the Hawthorne Rd
Transmission Station, an asset operated by Hydro One.

3G is
working with in joint venture with Canadian Solar
Solutions on three megawatt scale solar projects:

This is one of the first megawatt
scale solar projects accepted by the Ontario Power
Authority under the FIT program in April, 2010. A joint
venture between 3G and Canadian Solar Inc., this project
is now undergoing environmental review and
pre-development engineering.

Greely,
Ontario
- 10MW
This project is under
consideration by the Ontario Power Authority and is
expected to be approved once the local electricity grid
has been upgraded to be able to receive power from this
project.
Trail Road Landfill, City
of Ottawa, Ontario
- 7 MW
3G and Energy Ottawa undertook a
feasibility study leading toward building a solar farm
on the 44 acre Trail Road landfill site. Landfill
operations were ended at this site in the mid-1990's and
the City of Ottawa was searching for a solution to the
brownfield status of this land . 3G Energy
partnered with Energy Ottawa in 2008 and organized a
feasibility study with inputs from Queens University and
the Ontario Center of Excellence. In June 2010, 3G sold
its interest in the project to Energy Ottawa.
Energy Ottawa is applying for a FIT contract.

Wind Industry3G has built
