M'Chigeeng First Nation - over the period 2006 to 2024, 3G Energy assisted M'Chigeeng First Nation (MFN) in the creation and operation of their 4 MW Mother Earth Renewable Energy (MERE) wind farm project on Manitoulin Island, plus the creation of a partnership with a major solar developer in a 15 MW portfolio of rooftop solar energy projects in Ontario, plus identified housing as a strategic combination of challenge and opportunity through two community energy audits performed in 2018 and 2023. During this time 3G Energy worked with and trained MFN staff in developing project management skills as well as wind farm operating and asset management skills. 3G Energy also organized training for a total of 10 MFN Band members in the skills of solar PV deployment and residential energy audit services, and assisted and/or hired these indivduals to perform these services within the Band community. Currently in 2025 3G Energy is working with MFN on an industrial scale energy project that is in early development stages.
