Active since 2001 creating renewable energy solutions and projects. 3G has designed or built over 150 megawatts of renewable energy projects across Canada.
Experience makes the difference - Brian Barr and Graham Findlay founded the business in 2001 with the shared belief that a growing low carbon economy would produce new, exciting business opportunities. The first step was the creation of Vector Wind Energy Inc., which was successfully floated on the Toronto Venture stock exchange in 2005 before being sold in 2007 to Canadian Hydro Developers Limited, then the largest independent renewable energy developer in Canada. Vector was active in 8 Canadian provinces and was awarded 50 MW in energy contracts under competitive procurements.
3G was created in 2007 and is operated by Graham Findlay and Rob Miller, both of the Vector days.
Rob Miller, VP Development – Rob is well recognized in Canada’s renewable energy sector, and has been active as a business development person for several major multinational Independent Power Producers. He has significant experience in project development and approvals of large scale wind and solar projects. Rob holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from University of Western Ontario, plus an M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering from University of British Columbia. He is certified as a P.Eng.
Graham Findlay. Graham brings his personal energy, strategic leadership plus technical background. In recent years he served as Treasurer of the Ontario Sustainable Energy Association as well as a director of the Ottawa Renewable Energy Co-op. A long time ago Graham earned a BSc (Civil Engineering) degree from Queen’s University in Kingston, and an MBA from University of Toronto and he is registered as a P. Eng. in Ontario.
